Osric Brevyn Ward
001155
"Do you know what Theias are?" It's not necessarily the question of the year, but it's a good enough question nonetheless when you live in Gildargen or Fallowdell or one of those other cities that house the Families. At first, Osric would have asked what one was. He was just an average human then. A human with a vibrant navy soul that smelled of frosty morning air and willow bark. A human with raven black hair that shimmers navy in certain lighting. Very odd eyes: an amber color that look red most of the time. Rather thin, perhaps in an unhealthy way and is rather weak despite all his appearances of strength. He talks a big game, but really, he's afraid for himself. Osric thought he knew all there possibly was to know about hardship when he wound up on the doorsteps of Orphanage 45 at age four. Just old enough to remember his relatives and their demise, yet young enough that people around him seemed to forget. He had nothing with him save what he was wearing and a piece of paper pinned to his shirt sleeve with the name Osric written on it. Since no one has been able to track down his relatives or origins, he waskept at Orphanage #42 with the governmentally allotted surname Ward. He's not necessarily a loner or very introverted per se, but he prefers not fitting in with anyone. He lived on the outside since he can remember and that's where he wound up staying. He learned of Theias but never knew them. He was curious and it killed him. Now nineteen years old, he has been living on the streets since sixteen. Three years. That was enough time apparently for his world to be flipped inside out. His search for the power and promise of a Theia and their abilities brought him into the life of a young Theia girl suffering with incessantly recurring amnesia. She always forgot who he was and he always strove to save her from her path of self destruction she was unintentionally wandering down. Because of her, he was taken through the deep places of the Venantium and the GRAIL, to the foulest hells of Void society, to the outskirts of the cities, and all around the world even. She took him to places no Theia, never mind a human, would want to go. Powerless and without any true knowledge or ability to help himself, he could hardly help her, and so was destroyed by her. "Yes, I know what Theias are," he will say, "Theias are those divinely horrible creatures that walk the fine line between heaven and hell."
